Trade Policy

Deploying its vast expertise in trade policy and trade negotiations, our experts support clients in shaping key trade policy decisions related both to tariff and non-tariff barriers.
We assist governments in identifying the right level of tariffs, taking into account the specificities of respective economies and in eliminating non-tariff barriers to facilitate trade.
Importantly, we provide support in negotiating free trade agreements, including negotiations on comprehensive agreements covering a vast number of non-tariff areas, such as SPS, TBT, customs regulation, intellectual property rights and competition policy. Having practical experience and expertise in WTO (World Trade Organization) accession processes, we help our clients in designing policies and measures aimed at creating a solid basis for the accession as well as support in the implementation of accession obligations.
Reformatics is specialized in evaluating the economic and social impact of trade agreements on signatories of the latter, but also on analysing the feasibility of concluding new trade agreements as well as new types of trade arrangements.
With extensive experience in analyzing economic landscapes of client countries as well as international trade structures, we provide specific recommendations to enhance participation of the respective economies in regional and global supply chains.
