The team of Reformatics was involved in the evaluation of the implementation and impact assessment of the EU-Georgia DCFTA. The Project was implemented jointly with the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) and funded by the European Commission.
Reformatics, in close collaboration with CEPS, assessed the level of implementation of the DCFTA in the areas covered by the Agreement. Experts of Reformatics analysed DCFTA legislative approximation and implementation process in practice; the economic, social, environmental, and human rights (including labor rights) effects were assessed, which the DCFTA has had since its application; DCFTA impact on business sector was also analysed.
Reformatics organized and conducted focus groups and interviews with stakeholders from public and private sector, NGOs and civil society organizations for identification of implementation progress, existing challenges and possible benefits.
Besides the assessment, Reformatics, in collaboration with CEPS, elaborated recommendations for further improvement of the DCFTA implementation process in Georgia.
