The team of Reformatics provided consultancy services to the Government of Uzbekistan in 2018. Reformatics was closely engaged with the National Agency of Project Management of Uzbekistan, as well as with several ministries, agencies and committees. The multi-sector consultancy project included 13 areas.
Within the framework of consultancy project reform recommendations were provided in 1) tax reform that included drafting of the new tax code, 2) customs where new tariff methodology and risk-based system was implemented, 3) streamlining the system of issuance of licenses and permits, 4) improving business environment, specifically Doing Business report, 5) tourism sector, among others, improving visa policy 6) education reform, where new financing model and voucher system was recommended, 7) public-private partnerships including engagement in creating PPP fund Digital Trusts 8) budget and fiscal policy including introduction of medium-term macroeconomic documents 9) healthcare, where efficient system of registration of drugs was implemented, 10) energy, among others tariff formula was creating 11) streamlining a banking regulation, 12) improvement delivery of public services, 13) official statistics, recommendations were provided to bring it closer to international best practice.
